Phones & tablets
Basic setup and configuration, installing everyday apps, and accessibility and display settings — bigger text, brightness, sound.
LOS ANGELES • BILINGUAL TECH HELP
Friendly, in-person help with phones, computers, printers, email, and apps — explained patiently, in English or Spanish.
No fix, no charge.
One basic technology task for one flat price. We agree on the task before your appointment.
SERVICES
One agreed basic task per visit, done and checked together. If it isn't completed, you don't pay.
Basic setup and configuration, installing everyday apps, and accessibility and display settings — bigger text, brightness, sound.
Basic email setup and lessons, plus video-call apps like Zoom, WhatsApp, and FaceTime — set up and practiced together.
Connect one device to your existing Wi-Fi, set up a compatible printer with a real test print, and pair Bluetooth headphones, speakers, or keyboards.
Everyday computer settings and organizing your files and folders so things are easy to find.
One agreed lesson or learning objective, without a promise of instant mastery, or a simple transfer of photos, contacts, or files after a safety and compatibility check.
Some things can't be promised sight-unseen. For these, the free consultation comes first — I'll assess, then tell you honestly whether I can help and what it would involve.
These aren't guaranteed $20 services — assessment first, and there's never a charge just to ask.
HOW IT WORKS
Request a free 5-minute consultation or send the form below.
Tell me the problem in your own words — English or Spanish.
We agree on one basic task, the expected outcome, and an appointment time. For assessment-first topics, this is where I confirm whether I can take it on.
In-person help with the agreed task. I explain each step before making changes. Unrelated tasks are discussed separately before any additional paid service.
We check the agreed outcome together. Pay the flat $20 only when the task is completed as agreed; for a lesson, that means the agreed lesson is delivered.
MEET YOUR TECH HELPER
I'm a local, bilingual tech helper in Los Angeles. I help neighbors with everyday technology — patiently, in English or Spanish, and at a price that's clear from the start.
No jargon, no rush, and no making you feel bad for asking. We go step by step, I explain before I change anything, and you stay in control of your device the whole time.
THE TECALMO PROMISE
$20 flat for one agreed basic task. The price is the same whether it takes 10 or 30 minutes — no hourly clock or surprise charges.
I access photos, contacts, or files only when needed for an agreed task and with your permission. You enter your own passwords and verification codes; I never ask you to share them.
I explain each step and ask before changing settings or opening anything personal.
I'll show you what changed, so you understand it — not just that it works now.
Your phone and computer hold your life. They're treated carefully, every time.
If the agreed basic task cannot be completed, there is no service fee. For a lesson, the agreed lesson must be delivered, but mastery is not guaranteed.
HONEST SCOPE
Tecalmo is for everyday technology — not repairs or emergencies. I don't currently offer hardware repairs (like cracked phone screens), advanced data recovery, getting into locked accounts or bypassing security, serious virus or hacking cleanup, business IT or point-of-sale systems, financial or identity-theft investigations, or major system reinstalls. If that's what you need, I'll happily point you to the right professional or official provider — no charge for pointing you the right way.
SERVICE AREAS
In-person visits in these neighborhoods. All visits are subject to appointment confirmation.
Somewhere else in LA? Ask — other locations may be possible with advance planning, but aren't guaranteed.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Then you don't pay. The $20 is only charged when the one basic task we agreed on is successfully completed — no fix, no charge. I'll explain what I found and what your options are.
Yes, really free. It's a short call or email exchange to check whether your issue is a good fit for tecalmo. There's no charge and no obligation to book a visit.
$20 is a flat price for one agreed basic task, whether it takes 10 or 30 minutes. It is not an hourly fee or unlimited troubleshooting. We agree on the task and expected outcome before confirming the appointment.
In person, by appointment, in Expo Park, South Los Angeles, and Downtown Los Angeles. Every visit is confirmed in advance.
One basic technology task that we agree on before your appointment. You pay the flat $20 when the agreed task is successfully completed. It isn't an hourly fee or unlimited IT support.
We start with the free five-minute consultation. I'll assess whether it's something I can help with, and tell you honestly before any appointment is made or anything is charged. If it's not a fit, I'll point you to the right professional.
No — I don't do hardware repairs, and I can't recover accounts or bypass security. For a cracked screen, a repair shop is the right call; for a locked account, the official provider. And a reminder: you always type your own passwords and codes — I never ask for them.
